The Detroit Vineyards 2016 Chardonnay is aged in select French and Great Lakes oak barrels, creating a wine both mellow and complex: medium-bodied, fruit-forward and smooth up front with a lingering white pepper spice on the back palate.
Our Chardonnay exemplifies the elegance of Burgundy grown in Michigan. We crafted this wine utilizing barrel fermentation, aging on lees (sur lie) and occasional post-fermentation stirring (battonage).
Pair with steamed, freshwater, line-caught perch, braised free-range chicken, or a spicy seasonal vegetable curry.
